The "Detail" function is a + / - control in the top right hand corner of your schedule which allows you to set the level of detail you wish to see in the schedule.
The "Default Service Detail" function provides administrators with a way to set a "default" level of detail for when users access the schedule (List View / Column View or Compact View) for the first time.
The option to choose how much detail is displayed in the schedule has two main benefits:
- Reduce the amount of information on the screen making the schedule easier to view and manage.
- Hide certain details from junior admins and new employees.
The three options you can choose from are to:
- “Hide all details” for the most basic view of the Schedule, displaying no staff or invoice notes, no links to quotes or invoices, and no financial information.
- “Show staff notes” contains all of the basic view, plus staff notes.
- “Show all details” all information available, including links to quotes, invoices and service orders, staff and invoice notes, plus staff pay and client charge information.
Tip: This setting controls the service detail in:
- the Schedule List, Column and Compact view
- the Schedule tab in a client record
- any Service Order
Note: This option changes the amount of detail shown in the schedule when you first open it. If your staff have the right access privileges, they can change their view to show and hide detail individually. See Show and Hide Detail on the Schedule.
