Your staff should start their shift from their staff dashboard on their Mobile phone.
There isn't a limit to how many shifts a staff member can record during a working day, although shifts would ideally be no more than two, eg. a morning shift and an afternoon shift. However, your staff may have an additional visit to do in an evening so they could add another shift for this.
How do I Start a Shift?
Navigation: My Dashboard > My Schedule > Start Shift
Step 1
- Log into Pet Sitter Plus on the mobile phone. You will be taken to the Staff Dashboard.
- Tap the button on "My Dashboard" to "Start Shift."
Step 2
- In "My Dashboard", you will see the time recorded when you started the shift and this time will be recorded in the Staff Activity report.
- If you select one of your assigned services, you can also see the shift time "live" which is counted from the time you clicked "Start Shift" and this time will be recorded in the Staff Activity report.
- You can check-in and out of services as usual.
How do I End a Shift?
Step 1
- Log into Pet Sitter Plus on the mobile phone. You will be taken to the Staff Dashboard.
- Tap the button on the Schedule to "End Shift."
Tip: If you have recorded a shift in error, you can also click "Clear Shift" to remove the time recorded and effectively delete the shift.
- Once you have "ended the shift" you are taken back to My Dashboard. The shift time has been recorded in the Staff Activity report.
