In many areas, it is necessary to charge VAT, GST / HST, sales or other tax to clients for products and services. You may need to charge clients different tax rates based on where they live or other parameters. You are able to set multiple tax rates and apply them at a client level using Tax Rates.
Tip: There are 2 ways to set Tax Rate. Client Level (as shown in this article) or if Tax Rate is the same for all clients, use the Company Default Tax Settings. You can also set a Company Default Tax, then override just those clients that have a different tax rate using the Client Tax Rate.
Note: If you do not charge tax, you do not need this feature.
