You can add two types of notes to a client account: internal admin notes and staff notes.
- Internal Admin Notes: NOT visible to staff or clients. Only visible to Administrators with access to client data.
- Staff Notes: Visible to staff and Administrators with access to client data, not visible to clients.
The Client Account also stores client, home and pets details, as well as client order history and payment details.
Tip: Every field has permissions you can set in Custom Fields to control who can see the data.
How Do I Enter Notes into a Client Account?
Navigation: Clients > access client account > Client Information > Client Details
- Click "Notes" in the Navigation pane on the left.
- Enter Notes.
- Click "Update."

About Custom Fields Custom fields enable you to customize the clients pages in your database. This means you can add any kind of data you want such as simple text fields, drop down lists, dates, multi-line notes fields, email address fields, image uploads, file uploads, Weblinks and more. If you add custom fields, screenshots may not look the same as your database.
