When a client requests changes to scheduled services, you can edit the quote. A Service order is essentially the editable version of a Quote, so to edit the quote, you'll actually edit the Service Order.
More About Quotes
Once you have scheduled services in a service order, you have the option to send your client a quote. Quotes look like invoices but they are an estimate showing the dates and rates of scheduled services, but they cannot have payments receipted to them. Whereas Invoices are an actual bill for services that is owed now and can be paid.
Tip: If you need to make an update after you have invoiced the Order, you will want to take note of how Debit and Credit Notes work as well as when you may want to Void an Invoice.
How Do I Edit a Quote?
Navigation: Clients > access a client's account > Orders & Invoices
Step 1
Remember! To edit a Quote, you actually edit the Service Order.
- Click the blue "Order Label" for the order you want to update. Don't click the word "Quote" in the Invoice column.
Step 2
- Make Edits by checking the box beside service(s) to edit, or check "All" to select all records, then click "Edit."
- Add services by using "Add Services."
- Remove services by checking the box beside service(s) to remove, or check "All" to select all records, then use "Void," "Cancel," or "Delete."
Step 3
- Once you make the updates, navigate back to the Orders & Invoices screen, and click the word "Quote" for the changed service order. To email the client, see Sending a Quote to a Client.
