Setting the Primary Sitter for a Client

A "Primary Sitter" is most often assigned to the client. Using "Primary Sitter" saves time. When adding services and processing Service Requests, the system defaults the staff assigned to the Primary Sitter, however you can easily select another sitter, if needed. 

Also, if a client requests services in the client portal, the primary sitter is assigned on the service request. If you select to "BCC Service Request Emails To Primary Sitter" then the primary sitter set on the client's account will receive a copy of the original service request email from the client. 


Tip: Using Primary Sitter allows you to do the following:

1. Filter your Client List by clients with a specific Primary Sitter and email them in Bulk.
2. When a Staff leaves, you can assign a new Primary Sitter to the previous Sitter's Clients in bulk.



Note: 
  • If you regularly schedule different pet sitters for your clients, then you should leave this setting as "[not set]". You can add additional sitters that care for the pet in the Sitters screen.
  • If you are a sole trader, you can set the same default Primary Sitter for all New clients you create. Set A Default Sitter/Primary Sitter For All New Clients.

How Do I Set a Client's Primary Sitter?

Navigation: Clients > access a client's account > Client Admin > Settings
  • Click dropdown and select the primary sitter.
  • Click "Update."

Tip: If you do not see the primary sitter in the dropdown, you can add them in Admin > Staff > Add New Staff.


Note: To change a client's Primary Sitter, you must make the update on the Sitters screen.
