Change a Client's Primary Sitter

A Primary Sitter is the staff typically assigned to the client. You can change the Primary Sitter on a Client's Account in the Sitters Tab. You can add additional sitters familiar with the client as well. See  Managing Sitters on a Client Account?


Tip: You can remove a primary sitter, or replace the Primary Sitter with a new Primary, on all of that Sitter's Client Accounts in Staff Maintenance. This is helpful when staff leave or move.

How Do I Change the Primary Sitter on a Client's Account?

Navigation: Clients > access a client's account > Client Admin > Sitters
  • Click the "make primary" link by the sitter's name.
  • A pop-up confirms the update and a checkmark appears in the Primary Sitter column by the primary sitter's name.

Tip: Service requests from the client portal and visits scheduled by an Admin default to the primary sitter (but can be changed if needed). You can CC the primary sitter on service request emails.


Note: The 
Primary Sitter can also be set and changed on the client's Settings page only when there are no additional sitters assigned to the account.


Tip: If you are a sole trader, you can set the same default Primary Sitter for all New clients you create. Set A Default Primary Sitter For All New Clients.
