Void a Service from the Staff Schedule

Modified on Thu, 27 Oct 2022 at 04:33 PM

From the Admin view of the Staff Dashboard, you can access some useful scheduling functions, such as voiding a service. You should use the Void function when you have made a scheduling error that you want to correct.

Tip: Voiding is a useful function if you tried to delete a service that was in the past, as you will need to first void it. See Delete a Service from the Staff Schedule for more information.

Example
If you have booked a service for a client on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and it turns out that the client did not want the Wednesday service, you should use the Void function to correct this.

Services that are voided:
  • will remain on the client's service order "greyed out" so that it is easy to distinguish them from "un-voided" services.
  • are removed from the administrator's schedule and staff schedules so that the work does not get carried out.
  • remain on client quotations and invoices so that the client (and you) have a full record of all transactions on the account.
  • remain on staff pay reports but are shown with a zero amount.
Note: Voided services can be re-instated if they were voided in error by simply selecting the service and clicking "Void" again.

The admin scheduling functions available in the staff schedule are:

How Do I Void an Assigned Service?

Navigation: Admin > Staff > Click on a staff record > Services

  • Select the service to be voided by checking the box by the service.
  • Click "Void."

The voided service is no longer visible on the "Scheduled & Completed Services" view of the staff member's schedule, and has been updated "live" into the full schedule.
