TABLE OF CONTENTS

Use Check-in/Check-out feature

Staff can record an accurate check-in and check-out time and GPS location when they start and finish each visit. This might be at the start or end of a home visit, the start of an overnight service and again the following morning, or when they collect and return a dog after a walk.

To Use Check-in/Check-out feature:
  • Navigate to: Admin > Settings > Staff Monitor Settings.
  • Slide the option to ON.
  • Click "Update."

Set the Distance for Triggering a Notification if the Check-in and Check-out GPS Locations are Too Far Apart

Under normal circumstances the check-in and check-out locations should be within a few meters of each other and be close to or at the client's address. If this is not the case, you need to set the distance for GPS tolerance to ensure a notification is triggered to alert you.

Tip: Be wary of too low a distance setting, as this could prompt too many notifications in your report.

To set the GPS tolerance in meters:
  • Navigate to: Admin > Settings > Staff Monitor Settings.
  • Enter a value that represents the maximum distance, eg. 50 meters (55 yards).
  • Click "Update" to save.

Tolerance in minutes for checkin before exception flagged

If the time that a staff member checks-in is not recorded properly, this will trigger a notification in the Staff Activity report that may affect how the travel and work time is calculated.  The notifcation contains information that proves that staff checked-in or out some considerable time before or after the correct scheduled time for the service. You need to set the time toleranceto ensure a notification is triggered to alert you.

To set the Tolerance in minutes:
  • Navigate to: Admin > Settings > Staff Monitor Settings.
  • Enter a value that represents the maximum time, eg. 30 minutes.
  • Click "Update" to save.

Be notified when a required check-in is late

In addition to viewing a notification in the Staff Activity report, you can choose to have a notification sent to your company email address every time a sitter checks-in late to a scheduled service, provided that you have set a time "tolerance" for the notification to trigger.

To be notified when a required checkin is late:
  • Navigate to: Admin > Settings > Staff Monitor Settings.
  • Slide the option to ON.
  • Click "Update."
