When a Client Receives an Email from me, what Email Address do they see?
With SMTP, Microsoft or Google configured, you now have the option to send emails from Pet Sitter Plus via a personal or business email service. This means that some or all of the emails will be routed via your own email service and so will appear to have come from your personal or business email.
Below you will see more information about:
- the recommended settings to be used when connecting your business or personal email to Pet Sitter Plus.
- what sender email will appear on the emails that you consequently send.
Note: The result you get will depend on how you configure Pet Sitter Plus, so it is important to read the information below.
Pet Sitter Plus recommended settings
Navigate to: Connect > Email Settings > Connect Your Email
Our recommended settings are as follows:
- Use SMTP, Microsoft or Google Configuration - switched ON
AND
- Only Use for Direct Emails - switched ON
With this mode in operation, emails are handled as follows:
- ALL emails that DO NOT have a quote, invoice or account summary attached will be sent via SMTP/Google.
Note: When your client opens the email it will appear to have come from the personal or business email account that you used when you configured SMTP.
- ALL emails that DO have a quote, invoice or account summary attached will be sent via the native email system integral to Pet Sitter Plus.
Note: When your client opens the email it will appear to have come from mailer@petsoftware.net.
When a Client Replies to an Email from me, what Email Address to do they see?
In each case, when your client replies to any email received, the reply will be sent to the email address you specify in your Company Information "Reply-to Email Address". The name on the email, which appears to the left of the email address, will generally be your company name (but it can sometimes be the name of the individual associated with the email address, depending on how your email client handles emails.)
Tip: You can enter one email address in this field or, if you would like more people to receive a copy, you can enter a distribution list of email addresses here.
