Your clients should be encouraged to add a Veterinary practice to their pet data so that you have the option to consult them in an emergency.
Once a veterinary practice has been selected, the client can also change the veterinary practice if they move to another practice, if they need to.
The "predefined list" is set up by Admin, and the client does not have access to set up a new veterinary practice; they would need to contact you to ask you to add this in. See Add, Edit, Delete Vets for more information.
Note about Custom Fields: Using Custom Fields enables you to customize the Client's pages in your Portal. This means you can add fields for data that you like to capture about a client such as specific pet behaviors or specific home management details. If you have added custom fields, the options available in some screenshots may not look exactly the same as yours.

How does a client add their Vet to the pet details in My Information?
Navigation: Click the link "go to portal" from any Client's account > My Information
Step 1
- Scroll down to the particular pet you want to set the vet for.
- Click the pet name, then click "Vet".
- Choose the veterinary practice from the pre-defined list of vets in your area.
- Click "Set Vet".
Step 2
Once the vet has been set, it is possible to change it if your client moves veterinary practice.
- Click "Change Vet."
- Choose the new veterinary practice from the pre-defined list of vets in your area (as above.)
- Click "Set Vet."
