There may be some services your staff should see, but not your clients. For example, you may offer a free daily walk with Daycare service, so you want the sitter to have the walk on their schedule, but not on the client's invoice or schedule in the client portal. This is called an "Internal Service."
Note: Internal Services do not show on the invoice or quote. As Internal Services do not show on the invoice or client schedule, it is likely that you would also not want them to Show in portal or have a charge associated. Internal services can only be set once a service is set to "non-chargeable" and therefore, the Client Price and Price Rules become inaccessible.
What is a Service Item? A Service Item is a description and price for a service, such as a dog walk. Service Items are set for a time and date and then are assigned to a staff member to create the schedule. Service items appear on your Schedule, Service Orders, and Invoices. |
How Do I Hide an Internal Service from the Schedule in the Client Portal?
Navigation: Admin > Services > Select a Service > Advanced
Step 1
- Click on the service item to edit.
Step 2
- Click "Advanced."
- Toggle "Non Chargeable" to "ON."
- Toggle "Internal Service" to ON."
- Click "Update."
Once Updated, the Internal Service Client Price is set to zero and is greyed out.
In addition, Price Rules are no no longer accessible
Note: If the service item is changed to a chargeable service at anytime, the previous client price and price rules will be accessible.
