Setting Default Staff Pay for a Service

Modified on Thu, 19 Dec at 9:30 AM

When setting up your services, you will want to set a default or standard payment for services to save time when calculating Staff Pay. This can be a fixed or variable amount, or it can be based on a percentage of the client price.

The Staff Pay amount can:
  • vary according to the type of service. You can even have some service payment at a set dollar amount and some based on percentage of the client price.
  • either be a fixed amount or a percentage of the client price.
  • vary according to a number of other factors such as the time of day that the service is performed using Staff Pay Rules.

What is a service item?
A Service Item is a description and price for a service you provide, such as dog walk, pet sit, boarding, overnight, dog training, etc. Service items create your Schedule, Service Orders, and Invoices. A Service Item that is set for a time and date is assigned to a staff member to create the schedule.

Tip: You can run a report for all Staff Pay for any date range, for the whole team or individual staff.
