Email template: Welcome New Staff

When hiring a new staff member, you can easily invite them to access Pet Sitter Plus by sending a 'Welcome Email' from their Staff Record. You can create a standard Email Template welcoming all new staff to access their Staff Dashboard for the first time.  


How do I create an Email Template to welcome New Staff?

Navigation: Admin > Supporting Data > Email Templates

Navigate to Email Templates in Pet Sitting Software


Step 1

  • Click "New."
  • Enter a name for your new email template.
  • Click “Add New Email Template."

Step 2

  • Copy the following example text to create the body of your New Staff Welcome / Login Email. Without removing Merge Codes, you can edit the content of this template to suit your business.

Welcome to {COMPANY_NAME}


I am pleased to introduce you to our software, Pet Sitter Plus, and invite you to log in following the instructions below.


Pet Sitter Plus works with any browser. The link that you use to access Pet Sitter Plus is the same on any device (PC, MAC, tablet, iPad, mobile phone)


To get logged into our system, please follow these simple instructions:


  • Click or tap on this link here. {COMPANY_URL} 
  • Your login email is {RECIPIENT_STAFF_EMAIL} and your login account number is {RECIPIENT_STAFF_ACCOUNT_NUMBER}, you can use either to create a password to get logged into Pet Sitter Plus.
  • Choose the "Set / Reset" password option and follow the instructions to set your own password. Or watch this video for setting your password.
  • Once you have set up your password, you can log in and start using the system.


Once logged in you'll be able to:


Schedule / Services


  • View your schedule
  • Acknowledge your services for the day. (There is a green Acknowledge All button to acknowledge all your services for the current day - Note, you can only acknowledge a service on the day the service is scheduled, not beforehand) 
  • Use the GPS Check-in/Check-out function. (When prompted, click on "Allow" to enable your system to use your current location).
  • Send a Service Report to the client to relay information about the service and their pet(s)
  • Mark a service as Completed (Note: when using the GPS Check-out function, services may be marked as completed automatically)


Administrative Functions


  • Request time off 
  • View your Staff Pay Report
  • Update your Staff data (address, phone, etc.)  

 

You can create a PSP icon (shortcut) for your phone's home screen for quick and easy access:

Step 3

  • Paste the above narrative the email content of your template.
  • Click "Update."


Your "STAFF - New Staff Welcome / Login Email" template has now been saved and can be used to email to your new staff member via their Staff Record.
