Check-In and Check-Out Overview

Modified on Tue, 25 Oct 2022 at 02:34 PM

The "check-in and check-out" feature provides a simple means to prove that you or your staff arrived at a given location (such as a client's address), at a given time and that you left the same location at a given time. This information when displayed on a map provides reassuring evidence that you – or your staff – attended your client's address and provided the correct length of service.

Check-in and check-out data – when combined with our live Monitor function – also creates a powerful dashboard style interface that business managers can use to ensure that staff  are keeping up with their daily schedules. Live data can be used to proactively spot situations that could impact the quality of service delivery.

Check-in and check-out data can also be used by group walking companies to show that they started and ended a group walk at a given location and time.

Tip: The check-in and check-out functions use GPS to record location and dates/times. Sometimes, GPS network signals and their accuracy can be affected. To understand more about this, see GPS Accuracy at Check-In and Check-Out for an explanation.

Tip: You can create "real-time" notifications of check-in and check-outs on the schedule, by removing the Acknowledge and Complete buttons. Follow Step 1: "link" the Acknowledge function to Check-in and Step 2: "link" the Complete function to Check-out.

There is also an option to display these times and locations to your clients through their schedule in the client portal.
