Setting the location for your staff home address is important. It is used in conjunction with the client account and is also used in anti-spam measures to ensure that emails are not rejected by email providers.
Note: This function allows you to view the client location map and see how close the staff live in relation to the client's home address, so it is important that the staff home address is entered in full and accurately.
Also, the system uses the staff address to show their home location on the staff map if a staff member wants directions to another staff's home.
How Do I Set the Staff Location for a Sitter's Home Address?
Navigation: Admin > Staff > select Staff Name > Staff Details > Location
Step 1
The map should automatically load if the sitter's full correct address has been entered in their record. You should see a "mini map" in the panel on the right.
If not:
- Click "Location". This will set the location if the address has enough detail.
- If it has not set, check that the staff member's full address has appeared in the panel across the top of the map screen, and then click "Search." If it hasn't appeared in the panel, you can simply type it in.
- If you have a more accurate record of the longitude and latitude co-ordinates, you can type these into the search panel, but this is not necessary.
- If it all looks correct, click "Update."
- The "mini map" will appear as well in the panel on the right.
Step 2
If the staff location address is not set:
If the address field is empty or incomplete, there will be no "mini map" appearing in the panel on the right so you cannot set their location until the address has been entered (see Step 1 above.)
