The Tips Report compiles a list of all Tips received via Stripe Payment Methods for dates selected. Paying online means your clients can leave a Tip which increases client satisfaction and provides an additional income to staff. Clients can also add a Thank You note which can be passed onto their sitters.
Tip: The Tips Report provides a more complete picture of total staff pay for your team members and helps you categorize Tips appropriately with regard to taxes so Tip payments are not recognized as revenue.
Note: The Tips Report only displays tips paid via Stripe (credit card or ACH). If you use a Tip Service Item to account for and collect tips that have been paid manually by cash or check, those Tips are included in the "Staff Pay Report." Therefore you would also run the Staff Pay Report to pay Tips received via cash or check.
How Do I View, Filter and Export the Tips Report?
Navigation: Reports > Tips
- (Optional) Add a filter, click "All Staff Summary" drop-down and select an Staff name.
- Select a custom date range or use a quick report button, i.e. "This Week."
- To view the previous timeframe click the "<" button.
- To view the next timeframe click the ">" button.
- Click "Reload" to view your customized Tips Report.
- (Optional) Select "Download CSV" to Export the data displayed.
Tip Totals Report Explained:
- Staff: Name of staff member.
- Total Tips: Total amount of tips allocated to the staff member for selected date range.
The Tip Breakdown Explained:
- Staff: Name of staff member.
- Invoice: Invoice number tip is linked to
- Client: Name of the client, linked to client account.
- Note: Note client leaves when creating the tip in the Client Portal.
- Tip: Total amount of tips allocated to the staff member for selected date range.
